Cancellation Policy

At Chinook Outfitters LLC, we process orders quickly to ensure your outdoor gear reaches you as fast as possible. Because our fulfillment centers in Pennsylvania and Utah begin preparing orders shortly after they are placed, we have a specific window for cancellations.

1. Cancellation Timeframe

We offer a 12-hour grace period for order cancellations.

  • If you change your mind, you must request a cancellation within 12 hours of the exact time the order was placed.
  • Once this 12-hour window has passed, your order is automatically transmitted to our warehouse for picking, packing, and shipping, and it can no longer be cancelled.

2. How to Request a Cancellation

To ensure your request is seen and processed within the timeframe, please follow these steps:

  1. Email Us: Send an email to info@chinookoutfitters.com
  2. Subject Line: Use the subject "URGENT: Order Cancellation - [Your Order Number]."
  3. Details: Include your full name and the specific items you wish to cancel.
  4. Confirmation: Your cancellation is only confirmed once you receive a "Cancellation Successful" email from our support team.

3. Cancellations After 12 Hours

If you decide to cancel after the 12-hour window:

  • The order will be processed and shipped as planned.
  • In this case, you must wait for the package to arrive and then follow our Return & Refund Policy.
  • Please note that in these instances, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, as the 12-hour cancellation window was exceeded.

4. Refund Process for Cancelled Orders

Once a cancellation is approved within the 12-hour window:

  • A full refund (including shipping and taxes) will be issued immediately.
  • Refunds typically take 14 business days (Monday–Friday) to appear in your account, depending on your bank or credit card issuer's processing times.
  • The refund will be credited back to your original method of payment (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, or Apple Pay).
  • Depending on your financial institution, it may take 3 to 7 business days for the funds to appear in your account.

5. Partial Cancellations

If you ordered multiple items and only wish to cancel one, please contact us within the 12-hour window. We will do our best to modify the order. If the warehouse has already grouped the items for shipping, we may need to cancel the entire order so you can place a new one with the correct items.

6. Cancellation by Chinook Outfitters LLC

We reserve the right to cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Product Unavailability: If an item is unexpectedly out of stock.
  • Pricing Errors: If an item was listed with an incorrect price.
  • Fraud Prevention: If our security system flags an order as potentially fraudulent.
    In any of these cases, you will be notified via email immediately, and a full refund will be processed.

7. Address Changes vs. Cancellations

If you only need to change your shipping address, this also must be done within the 12-hour window. After 12 hours, we cannot redirect a package that is already in transit.

8. Policy Abuse

To maintain fair service for all outdoor enthusiasts, we monitor cancellation patterns. Frequent cancellations from the same account may lead to a temporary suspension of purchasing privileges.

9. Customer & Our Responsibilities

  • Your Responsibility: To review your order details (items, size, quantity, address) thoroughly before checkout and to contact us within 12 hours if a mistake is made.
  • Our Responsibility: To monitor our support emails during business hours and process valid cancellation requests before the order reaches the fulfillment stage.
