1. Shipping Destinations & Territory Limits

We ship exclusively to the 48 contiguous United States. At this time, we do not provide shipping to:

  • Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. Territories (e.g., Puerto Rico, Guam).
  • APO/FPO/DPO military addresses.
  • International destinations outside of the United States.
  • P.O. Boxes (depending on the carrier, physical addresses are preferred).

2. Product Pricing, Currency & Market Focus

All prices displayed on our website are in United States Dollars (USD). Our market focus is strictly domestic to ensure the highest quality of service and speed. Please note that prices listed on product pages are exclusive of tax.

3. Shipping Rates & Thresholds

We provide a clear and tiered shipping structure:

  • Standard Shipping (Orders $50.00 and above): Free of charge. 
  • Flat Rate Shipping (Orders under $50.00): A fixed fee of $9.99 USD applies per order.
    The shipping cost is calculated based on the subtotal after any discounts and before taxes are applied.

4. Shipping Origin & Logistics Hubs

To maintain a 2-5 day delivery window, we utilize a strategic fulfillment network. Your order will ship from one of our two primary logistics hubs based on inventory availability and your proximity to the facility:

  • East Hub: Pennsylvania, USA.
  • West Hub: Utah, USA.
    This allows us to minimize transit time and carbon footprint.

5. Order Cut-Off, Processing & Delivery Times

  • Order Cut-Off Time: 4:00 PM (GMT-06:00) Central Standard Time (Chicago).
  • Order Processing Time: All orders are processed within 1 business day (Monday–Friday). (Example: An order placed Monday at 10:00 AM CST will be shipped by Tuesday).
  • Transit/Delivery Time: Orders typically arrive within 2–5 business days (Monday–Friday) after leaving our facility.
  • Total Time to Delivery: Approximately 3–6 Business Days (Monday–Friday).
  • Operating Days: We process and ship orders Monday through Friday. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or U.S. federal holidays.

6. Tracking Information & Real-Time Updates

Every order is assigned a unique tracking number from carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS.

  • Notification: You will receive an automated email with tracking details within 24 to 48 hours of order placement.
  • Activation: Tracking numbers may take up to 24 hours to become "active" in the carrier's system after the package has been scanned.

7. Packaging & Order Protection

We utilize heavy-duty, moisture-resistant packaging to protect your outdoor gear.

  • Fragile Items: Any sensitive equipment is double-boxed or wrapped in high-density protective foam.
  • Internal Protection: We use biodegradable or recyclable void fill to prevent shifting during transit.

8. Address Accuracy & Verification

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer's legal responsibility to provide a valid, deliverable physical address.
  • Verification: Our system uses USPS address validation. If an address is flagged as invalid, your order will be placed on hold, and we will contact you via email. This may delay the 1-day processing window.

9. Order Cancellation Policy

We act fast to get your gear moving. Therefore:

  • Window: Cancellations are only accepted within 12 hours of order placement.
  • Process: Email info@chinookoutfitters.com with "CANCELLATION" and your Order Number in the subject line.
  • Post-Window: If 12 hours have passed, the order has likely been transmitted to our Pennsylvania or Utah warehouse and cannot be stopped. In this case, you must follow our Return Policy.

10. Change of Shipping Address

  • Window: Address modifications must be requested within 12 hours.
  • Security: For fraud prevention, we cannot change a shipping address to a different state than the one provided at checkout. We can only correct minor typos or house numbers.

11. Failed Delivery / Missed Delivery Attempts

If a package is returned to us because of an "Undeliverable Address," "Refused Delivery," or multiple missed attempts:

  • The customer is responsible for the original shipping fee and any return-to-sender fees charged by the carrier.
  • A second shipping charge will apply if you wish for us to resend the item.

12. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your package immediately upon arrival.

  • Reporting Window: Issues must be reported within 48 hours of the "Delivered" timestamp.
  • Requirements: You must provide clear photos of the outer packaging, the shipping label, and the damaged/incorrect item.
  • Resolution: Once verified, we will provide a prepaid return label and ship a replacement at no cost to you.

13. Lost or Delayed Packages

A package is considered "lost" if there is no tracking movement for more than 10 consecutive business days.

  • Investigation: We will open a trace with the carrier (UPS/FedEx/USPS).
  • Resolution: If the carrier confirms the package is lost, we will issue a full refund or a replacement. We are not responsible for delays caused by extreme weather, natural disasters, or carrier strikes.

14. Delivery Confirmation & Theft Prevention

  • Confirmation: Once a carrier marks a package as "Delivered" to the address provided, Chinook Outfitters LLC’s liability ends.
  • Theft: We are not responsible for "Porch Piracy" or theft after delivery. We recommend shipping to a secure location or a workplace if you are not home.

15. VAT, Taxes & Import Fees

  • Import Duties: Since we ship from USA warehouses to USA customers, there are no import duties or VAT.
  • Sales Tax: Sales tax is calculated based on the destination state's laws. This is shown as a separate line item at checkout and is not included in the product price.

16. Our Responsibilities vs. Customer Responsibilities

  • Our Promise: To ship genuine products, provide valid tracking, and ensure the 1-day processing time is met under normal conditions.
  • Your Promise: To provide an accurate email/phone for communication, a secure delivery location, and to report any shipping discrepancies within our 48-hour window.

17. Invoices & Documentation

A digital copy of your invoice is sent immediately via email. A physical packing slip (excluding prices) is included in the box. If you require a formal PDF invoice for tax purposes, please contact our support team.

18. Sustainability & Packaging

As outdoor enthusiasts, we care for the environment.

  • Our shipping boxes are made from 60-100% recycled content.
  • We optimize box sizes to reduce "air shipping," which lowers carbon emissions from transport vehicles.

19. Security & Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers, any order that flags a high "Fraud Risk" in our system will be manually reviewed. We may request a redacted photo of your ID or utility bill to verify the billing address. Failure to provide this within 48 hours will result in order cancellation.
